Facebook DJ Feature of the Day: Facebook has launched its new “Listen With” feature, allowing friends to DJ for one another using Facebook Music-supported services Spotify and Rdio.
The “Listen With” button will appear in Facebook Chat, and you’ll see your friends listening with each other in your news feed. Clicking “Listen With” next to a friend’s name will allow you to listen in on whatever that friend is playing in real-time.
Each user can have up to 50 listeners at a time, and friends will only be able to listen with you if your privacy settings allow them to view your music listening activity. Services like Turntable.fm have already experimented with similar social listening
genomes but this definitely better integrates with the mainstream.
“Listen With” will be out later today for Spotify, and Rdio will be supported over the next few days.
