Is a completely student conducted and governed big band group with an existence almost as old as the State University of New York at Fredonia NY itself.
Yearly turnover prevents any consistent membership but has been known to work with people such as Bruce Johnstone of Maynard Ferguson & Maynard Ferguson & Big Bop Nouveau. I was proud to be a member of this organization & work with as both a performer & assistant between the years of 2004-2007 while attending college. This is a collection of various recordings by the band that I thought I'd share. The band has grown & reshaped over the years citing a vast number of influences but the principle of 'best friends hanging out playing awesome jazz' stayed true and I was privileged enough to partake.
